Well, it's official. Jonathan Takami has decided
to retire from Harpswell Sound, and quite possibly the rock n roll
lifestyle (although I find that hard to believe). We are currently
auditioning some new people and will hopefully be back at it shortly.
But as everyone knows, there's only one JT.
Consequently, we have to cancel our upcoming show at TTs with the magnificent
Mittens. Go see them anyway.
Also, if you know any bass players who like what we do, have them contact us
at info@harpswellsound.com.
Thanks!

Man, it's been awhile since we updated here. Been
a busy summer, played some great shows with Charlie Chesterman,
Mittens, Dan Blakeslee and lots of other great bands.
Starting to buckle down now and finish work on the children's book & album,
which should come out next year sometime. Also starting work on our next full
length, which we plan on taking some time to finish and will hopefully release
next summer.
Hope you enjoyed your summer, because here comes jacket season...

Some mp3s of our Local Motives set are available
online at wmpg.org.
Thanks again to everyone over there for a fun night.
We also have a show on the 11th with our friends Seekonk at
the Muddy River Smokehouse in
Portsmouth. Rumor is we get some barbeque out of the deal.
Also check out some Top 10 lists of stuff we're
into right now.

We played a last minute fill-in set on WMPG's Local
Motives radio show last night, which was a great time. Check
out their site for some photos and probably some mp3s at some
point. Big thanks to Jan, Jim, Tom and everyone who helped out.
Also big thanks to Cerberus
Shoal and Rev.
Crank Sturgeon for a great show at space last Friday. CS were unbelievably
good, with 2 drummers to boot! Hope they're having a good time on their European
tour..
3.25.05
Thanks to everyone who came out to the last few shows.
The Red Door and the Words & Images show were both amazing,
fun nights.
Big thanks to Andrew Bourgoin for his incredibly thoughtful review in Northeast
Performer magazine.
We're continuing work on the songs for the untitled childrens record/book project,
and beginning pre-production for our next full length. Lots of new songs in
the works..
I'd also like to thank WMPG and
independent and college radio stations across the country (and in Europe) for
playing tracks from Skylight. It's comforting to know that DJs and programmers
still exist that actually sit down and listen to the CDs they get. You guys
are the best.
